About the photographer.

Hi. My name is Kirk Love and I'm a photographer.

For the longest time I resisted even calling myself a photographer. That was a term for "real" artists with a camera — the Richard Avedons, Irving Penns, Cindy Shermans, Robert Franks, Diane Arbuses, Joel Meyerowitzes, Annie Leibovitzes, and Garry Winogrands of the world. Who was I to call myself one of them?

Then one day I realized that was stupid. I've been taking pictures for over 20 years. And my photos are really good. So yeah, I'm a photographer, and I take pictures. Lots of pictures. Sometimes they turn out pretty ok and that makes me happy.
